Who We Are

Located along the Charles River in Cambridge, Magazine Beach Park has long been a haven for city residents seeking the outdoors close to home. Thanks to a partnership between Mass Audubon and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Mass Audubon has helped activate the park with mini festivals and an array of programs from bird walks to bachata.

What We Do

Mass Audubon partners with multiple organizations who work with volunteers to make the park a safe, clean space for the community to enjoy. The goal of our Magazine Beach Park Eco-Volunteer Gatherings is to make sure that it is also a safe space where wildlife can thrive. This monthly program is available for any groups to participate, and we have the flexibility to schedule larger groups like schools or corporate groups on separate occasions. Please reach out to Education Coordinator Paul Kelley at pkelley@massaudubon.org with information about the size of your group, dates you are looking to volunteer, and the type of opportunity you’re interested in.
