Join community-led seasonal restoration events focused on removing litter and invasive plants to protect native habitats and improve park health. Volunteers of all ages will receive hands-on training in safe trash collection, sorting and disposal, and best practices for identifying and removing invasive species. Activities strengthen habitat resilience, reduce threats to native flora and fauna, and provide a family-friendly way to restore Magazine Beach Park.
We will start with a whole group introduction followed by separating into different groups based off the project each volunteer is interested in. The whole group will gather at the Nature Center for the final 20 minutes to reflect on the work, share observations, and enjoy snacks. More information about the projects and recommended items to bring will be shared with registered volunteers during the week prior to the event.
