Description

Lively Landscapers! Help Boston Nature Center get in tip-top shape for spring. Assist in projects including maintaining trails, picking up trash, weeding, reapplying compost and mulch, and light pruning. There will be projects suitable for everyone ages 5 and up, with opportunities to beautify the butterfly garden and the Nature Nook children's play area. Make sure to dress for the weather and a morning spent outdoors.

After your work for the morning is done, celebrate your accomplishments over lunch, take a green building tour, enjoy free admission to the sanctuary and spend the afternoon exploring the trails and observing the wildlife.

This volunteer opportunity will include one or more projects that are accessible and inclusive to volunteers with a broad range of abilities. For more detailed information on these projects, or to discuss any accommodations that would be helpful, please contact Heather Deschenes or hdeschenes@massaudubon.org.

This volunteer opportunity is part of Mass Audubon’s Statewide Volunteer Day. To sign up to volunteer, click the “Respond” button. You can then sign in using your existing volunteer account with Mass Audubon, or, if this is your first time using the volunteer system, you will be prompted to create a new account before signing up.
