Description

With over 107 Wildlife Sanctuaries to explore across the state, the South East region is home to over 4,000 acres of protected land within 22 wildlife sanctuaries, with 7 of those having trails accessible for public use.

Unfortunately, our team does not have the means to assess every part of our trail systems each week, a total of 27 miles. Trail Stewards help provide our property team with valuable insight by having more eyes and ears on the ground on a regular basis. What better way to volunteer and assist with our efforts of conserving nature then by walking your favorite trail or visiting a new sanctuary all while lending our property team a helping hand.

Trail stewards will assist with tasks such as cutting back overgrown vegetation, clearing trails of debris, picking up trash and litter, restocking trail maps at trail heads, and reporting any notable violations on the property.
