Do you frequently hike at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary and would like to share your knowledge with others? We are looking for volunteers to help lead a free visitor engagement program beginning this fall called Sunday Strolls: Get to Know Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. This is an all-ages hiking group that will meet on the second Sunday of each month, from 9–10am (weather permitting). Group size may vary depending on registration.
This opportunity is perfect for someone who is comfortable walking and navigating the sanctuary trails and enjoys talking with people about observations they encounter along the way. You don’t need to be an expert on wildlife or natural history—just someone who knows the trails, enjoys being outdoors, and is comfortable engaging with people.
To express interest in this opportunity, click the "Respond" button. In the "Response Notes," share in a few sentences why you are interested and why this is a great volunteer role for you. Please note that this step is only to express interest in this opportunity. A volunteer coordinator will follow up with you about the next steps, which will include a brief conversation and a background check before you begin volunteering.
