Celebrate Earth Month with a day of service at Wellfleet Bay!
Spend your morning along the salt marsh at Wellfleet Bay helping us maintain diamondback terrapin nesting gardens as part of Mass Audubon's Statewide Volunteer Day. We'll work on maintaining nesting "gardens" for diamondback terrapins, a threatened species of turtle, by weeding and pulling grass and other vegetation from their nesting areas. A member of our Turtle Research Team will be leading this project.
Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated; we'll have light snacks ready to keep you energized.
This opportunity is for volunteers 18 and older.
How to Register

You can then sign in using your existing volunteer account with Mass Audubon, or, if this is your first time using the volunteer portal, you will be prompted to create a new account before signing up. Make sure to click the Submit Opportunity Response button on the next page and look for the green banner – and an email - indicating you have completed the whole process.
