Description

Become an Education Volunteer! Take your first step toward becoming a Joppa Flats education volunteer by attending any of our trainings. Our education volunteers help staff and field teachers present programs to schools, groups, and families throughout the school year in a wide variety of environments. These programs are free to Mass Audubon members and nonmembers.

This session focuses on animals on the beach in the winter and how they survive; from seals and ducks to eagles, owls, and hawks. Adults will use binoculars and a scope to observe the behaviors of wildlife, engage in hands-on activities like using animal tracking cards, examining sand samples with a digiscope, or filling out a weather data sheet.

To register for this training, click the "Respond" button. On the next page, click "Submit Opportunity Response." You should then see a green banner appear across the top of the screen, indicating that you are registered and all set! Having trouble making an account or responding? Please reach out to volunteers@massaudubon.org or call 781-259-2185
