Drumlin Farm is a working farm with cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens which are raised for wool, egg, and meat production. Our livestock staff welcome volunteers to help with a variety of barn chores including feeding, sweeping, refilling water, egg collection, and mucking. Chores are in the morning. Volunteers join us for one morning per week for a minimum of three months but hopefully for much longer! Currently we are looking for volunteers for Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings (7:00am to roughly 10:00am).
The barns are unheated. The position is physical and includes walking on uneven surfaces, shoveling, lifting, and bending. In winter, there may be icy conditions. A background check is required for this position.
