Support our local Adopt-A-Highway program by picking up trash and litter along Route 6 and West Road, Van Rensselaer’s to Maurice’s Market. Work with our Property Management Team to protect the nature of beautiful Wellfleet for people and wildlife. This opportunity is on the 2nd Tuesday every month, April through October.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outside.
- Excellent spatial awareness and mental alertness.
- Good physical condition, including sight and hearing.
Requirements:
- Attend a safety training session and view a safety video prior to participation.
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently as part of our Property Management Team.
- Must be 18+.
- Reliably read and respond to email communications with staff.
- Must adhere to all policies in the Mass Audubon Volunteer Handbook.
- Ability to pass CORI/SORI background check.
Benefits:
Volunteer ID cards are issued to volunteers who work 50 hours or more per year. The Volunteer ID card provides free admission, for yourself and immediate family, to all of Mass Audubon’s wildlife sanctuaries. It also allows you to take advantage of our Reciprocity Program which grants free or discounted access to participating area museums and attractions.
MassDOT has placed a sign on the highway to recognize Mass Audubon’s Adopt-A-Highway Team for their hard work.
